EUGENE, Ore.- Gonzaga Track had their second straight day of split competition, setting several personal bests across the Oregon Invitational and the Bryan Clay Invitational.
The women's track team competed at Hayward Field in the Oregon Invitational, with eight Zags setting new career best times in the 1500 meters.
Clare Mullin led the Zags with a time of 4:25.47, with the freshman running the ninth fastest time in program history.
Ashlinn Aguayo ran herself into the program top ten times in the 800 meters when she finished the event in 2:13.13.
Anna Lanigan (4:28.88), Emma Taggi Padro (4:33.32),
Jorun Downing (4:35.24)
Tawny Smith (4:35.42), Catherine Vlatch (4:47.63),
Taylor Hoyer (4:50.10),
Rose Penney (4:50.32) and
Sophia Ferraro (4:56.52) all ran personal best times in the event. Maria Taggi Padro and
Ava Sutherland finished with respective times of 4:32.38 and 4:34.41 to continue building on strong seasons.
The men's track team ran at the second night of the Bryan Clay Invite, with
Logan Schwartz running the fourth fastest 5000 meters in program history when he finished in 13:45.74.
Mason Kisselll also broke 14 minutes in the 5k, running a time of 13:59.28.
Gus Clevenger (14:00.07),
Ryan Mitchell (14:02.55) and
Samy Anderson (14:04.73) rounded out a solid day in the distance with their respective times.
Hayden Roberts ran a time of 1:51.56 in the 800 meters to continue to build on a breakout year in the middle distance.
The final day of the Bryan Clay Invitational will take place on Saturday and is available to stream on FloTrack.
