The Zags made their trek down to California this week to take on Santa Clara. The Bulldogs fought hard but dropped to Santa Clara, 4-0.
In doubles play, Rose Hayes and Sveva Zerpelloni were pitted against Daniella Dimitrova and Anna Rahman, falling short 6-2. Diana Yantovskaya and Elizabeth Tindera also battled it out in doubles play, but the duo couldn't catch up, losing 6-3.
Emily Robertson took court one against Daniella Dimitrova and Robertson pushed through two sets but was defeated 6-0 and 6-2. Sveva Zerpelloni kept up with her Santa Clara opponent in first set tiebreaker, Zerpelloni came up short 7-6 and 6-0 in second set. Freshman Karla Brown also battled it out on court six, unfortunately Santa Clara took the victory, 6-2 and 6-1.
The women's tennis team will close out their season with the final match being Sunday April 19th against San Diego.
