Zags Win Three Races to Close Out Triton Invitational

CHULA VISTA, Calif. – The Gonzaga women's rowing team wrapped up competition at the Triton Invitational on Sunday with a strong showing against UC San Diego and Sacramento State, earning three race victories to close out the weekend.

Racing in 5–8 mph cross headwinds with gusts up to 15 mph and moderate chop, the Bulldogs continued to build momentum across multiple boats.

In the Varsity 8, Gonzaga posted a time of 6:59.10 to place second in a tight race with Sacramento State and UC San Diego.

Gonzaga's 2V8 led the way with a first-place finish in 6:50.60, holding off UC San Diego and Sacramento State. The Zags followed with another dominant performance in the Varsity 4, winning in 7:36.27 by nearly 12 seconds over UC San Diego.

The Bulldogs added a third victory in the 2V4, finishing in 7:51.80 to top a competitive field that included two UC San Diego entries and Sacramento State.
