SPOKANE, Wash- Gonzaga Track continued to improve on personal best times across two meets on Friday, competing at both the Stanford Invite and Whitworth's Peace Meet.
The Zags set top ten times in the ten thousand meters at Stanford, with Logan Hofstee running the second fastest time in women's program history with a time of 32:21.15. Charlotte Dillon and Anna Grabowski finished with times of 33:32.93 and 33:50.80 to move to respectively move in to the fifth and eighth fastest times in the program record books.
The men's program record book also had new entries in the 10k, with Logan Schwartz running the fourth fastest time in program history with a 28:52.62 race. Mason Kissell improved on his position as seventh in the program record book with a time of 29:14.26.
Logan Law and Paul Talens ran great times in the 3k steeplechase, with law setting the 3rd fastest time in program history when he finished in 8:42.45. Talens ran the 7th fastest time in program history when he ran a 8:48.01 time.
On the Whitworth track, Ashlinn Aguayo and Charlie Goss had the top GU times in the 800, with each running personal best times. Aguayo finished with a time of 2:13.62. Goss completed his race in 1:53.56. Five Gonzaga women ran under 4:40 in the 1500, with Maria Taggi Padro leading the pack with a 4:27.28 finish. Clare Mullin and Anna Lanigan ran times of 4:28.32 and 4:31.67.
Gonzaga return to the Whitworth track once again when they compete at the Jeff Rahn Classic on April 10th.
