Gonzaga Track sets high marks at Payton Jordan Invite

STANFORD, Calif.- Gonzaga Track added three more names to the program record books on Friday, with three athletes running times that fell in the program top 10 times after a succesful Payton Jordan Invitational. 

Clare Mullin continued a strong freshman campaign with a 4:23.29 finish in the 1500 meters, which is now the sixth fastest time in the distance in program history. Maria Taggi Padro also finished the event with a 4:29.20 time. 

Rosina Machu, the current program record holder in the 5,000 meters, ran another fantastic time with a finish of 15:42.01. She was joined at the finish line by Logan Hofstee, who ran a time of 15:42.84, which now makes Hofstee the second fastest 5k runner in program history. Charlotte Dillon joined with a time of 16:16.24, a time that puts her at eighth in the program record times in the 5k. 

Gonzaga Track will look to continue to add more times to the record book when they return to the Whitworth track at the Whitworth Last Chance Meet on Wednesday.
