SPOKANE, Wash.- Gonzaga Women's Track ran at Whitworth for the final time this season, taking part in the Whitworth Last Chance Meet, winning four events.
Ashlinn Aguayo ran the third fastest 800 time in program history, finishing in 2:08.84.
Rosina Machu ran the first 800 of her collegiate career, setting the sixth fastest 800 meter time in program history when she finished with a 2:10.67 time.
Greta Dani won the 400 meters with a time of 56.32, and
Presley Smith took second place with a career best time of 1:00.92. The 4x400 meter relay won the event with a time of 3:55.58, less than a second off of the previous program record.
Eight Zags finished the 1500 meters in under three minutes and forty seconds, with
Rosina Machu taking first while putting up a 4:20.64 time.
Clare Mullin and
Anna Grabowski respectively ran times of 4:24.60 and 4:25.84, while Maria Taggi Padro (4:32.29),
Anna Lanigan (4:34.33),
Charlotte Dillon (4:35.81),
Ava Sutherland (4:36.61) and
Tawny Smith (4:36.89) rounded out the rest of the top GU finishers in the event.
The women's track team will send representatives to their final regular season meet of the season when they travel to San Francisco for the West Coast Last Chance Meet on May 16th.
