Rosina Machu to compete in NCAA Championship Final in 5k, 10k

Eugene, Ore.- Rosina Machu will run in the NCAA Outdoor Track Championship Finals for the third straight season, taking part in the finals in the 5k and 10k starting on Thursday. 

Machu is the program record holder in the 5,000 meters and the 10,000 meters for Gonzaga. She will be running in the finals for both events after finishing in the top 10 in the West for both events. She finished 10th in the West in the 5k, setting a program record with a time of 15:38.43 in her most recent run. Machu finished seventh in the west in the 10k, running a 32:29.47 time to advance to the finals for the third straight year in the event. She won First Team All-American honors last year for her perfoamnce in the final of the 5k. 

The finals of the 10,000 meters will take place in Eugene at 7:55 pm on Thursday. Machu will also compete in the 5,000 meters final at 6:55 pm on Saturday. Both events will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
