2017-18: Took third in the Western Sprints with the second varsity eight … defeated Washington State in the Fawley Cup with the second varsity eight … took sixth at the Kerr Cup with the second varsity eight … finished third in the Husky Open with the second varsity eight … recorded a win with the second varsity eight in the Western Sprints Challenge.
2016-17: Defeated Washington State in the Fawley Cup with the varsity eight … finished fifth in the Kerr Cup Petite Final with the varsity eight … took runner-up in the Husky Open in the second varsity eight boat … won the fall’s Head of the Snake with the varsity eight … took seventh in the Head of the American with the varsity eight … defeated WSU at the Head of the Spokane with the varsity eight.
2015-16: Began season placing first in the first novice eight boat at the Head of the Spokane…took second at the Portland Fall Classic in the second varsity eight boat and first in the first novice eight…placed first in the second varsity eight at the Head of the Snake…took third in the varsity eight at the Wester Sprints.
HIGH SCHOOL: Went to Snohomish High School in Snohomish, Wash. with a 3.49 GPA…played three sports, cross country, track and field, tennis, and was on the swim team…qualified for districts in swimming in 2012-13 and 2013-14 and was also swim team captain…was a Bi-District meet competitor in track in 2014-15.
MISC: Son of Ken and Marcie…has three brothers, Ryan, Alex, and Jason…majoring in nursing and hopes to become a nursing practitioner…chose Gonzaga because he got accepted into the nursing program and has a family history at the school…his father played football for Washington State, and his mother swam for Washington State…brother Alex plays football at Pacific Lutheran…uncle Scott Sanderson played football at Washington State and went on to play in the NFL, and uncle Vince Fairhurst played football for Notre Dame.
