Gonzaga University Athletics is among the top Universities in the country when Academic Progress Rate (APR) numbers are released annually each Spring. We strive to compete with the best in all areas, but especially with our academic success. Instituted in 2004, the APR program is a 1,000-point scale geared towards holding institutions accountable for the academic progress of their scholarship student-athletes by tracking eligibility and retention of those student-athletes each semester. The APR system includes rewards for superior academic performance and penalties for teams that do not achieve certain academic benchmarks.
