SOPHOMORE (2025-26): Olson played in all 10 of the Zags’ competitions… His 74.17 scoring average ranked second on the team… Shot par or better in seven rounds… Opened the season with a 2-under 214 at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, tying for 18th… Recorded his best collegiate finish at the Bill Cullum Invitational, shooting 3-over 219 to tie for fourth… Led the Zags at the Bill Cullum Invitational with a three-under 69 in the second round… Recorded another strong performance at the Loyola Intercollegiate, finishing 18th at 2-over 218… Was named a 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America… Finished the season at the WCC Championships, shooting +13 to place 55th.
FRESHMAN (2024-25): Olson played in all 11 of the Zags’ competitions as a true freshman… His 73.75 scoring average was the second-best mark on the team… Shot par or better in nine rounds… Finished a tournament under par for the first time with a -1, 215-shot performance at the Loyola Intercollegiate in February… Was the Zags’ top performer at the regular season finale, shooting +7 at the El Macero Classic… Team’s second-best finisher at the WCC Championships, shooting +4 to end tied for 40th.
PRIOR TO GONZAGA: Olson was the Toyota Tour Cup Champion He has three AJGA Top 15 finishes and qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur. The Newport Beach, Calif., native has a JGS differential -2.5 ... led Corona Del Mar to the CIF Southern section team honor, while being named first team all- league. He was also named a Top 5 Toyota Tour Cup Player of the Year. Nationally, Olson ranks 350th overall and 178th in the class or 2024. He is 47th overall in California and 28th in the 2024 class ... Off the course, Olson earned the Teachers Award and was Freshman Class President. Under Head Coach Mike Starkweather he earned three varsity letters. Olson was also the setter on the school's volleyball team.
