FRESHMAN (2025-26): Lizama played in all 10 of the Zags’ competitions as a true freshman… Finished the season with a 73.59 scoring average, third-best on the team… Shot par or better in 11 rounds… Opened his collegiate career with a 3-over 219 at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational… Recorded his best finish of the season at the Oregon State Invitational, shooting +4 to tie for 21st… Posted a standout performance at the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic, shooting a 9-under 204 to tie for 18th… His 204 was the second-lowest 54-hole score by a Zag during the season… Fired a 5-under 66 in the final round at Ka’anapali, tying for the second-lowest round in program history… Was ranked fifth in the PGA TOUR’s Pathway to Progression Underclass Elite Ranking… Finished the season at the WCC Championships, shooting +7 to tie for 46th and ranking seventh in the 60-player field in par-3 scoring.
PRIOR TO GONZAGA: Lizama ranks 109th in the nation and 59th in the 2025 class. He is 14th in California and the 10th ranked golfer in the senior class in the state. During 2024 American Junior Golf Association play, Lizama was third at the Atlanta Classic, fifth at the Brandon Wu Championship, ninth at the Sacramento Junior Championship, and 16th at the Mizuno West Coast Classic. He also placed 25th at the 52nd Southern Junior Championship in Tallahassee, Fla.
