Prior to Gonzaga
-Â Ran cross Country and track all four years in high school. Was a state qualifier every year that state meets were held. Placed 8th as a sophomore and 5th as a junior in cross country. Holds a personal best of 15:22 for a cross country 5k. During track, Cerkowniak placed 6th in the state 3200 as a sophomore (other seasons canceled). Personal bests on the track were 9:11 for 3200m and 4:21 for 1600m. During the fall of his senior year, Cerkowniak ran a 14:51 5k on the track.
Personal
- Grew up and lived in Yelm, Washington. Attending Gonzaga to study civil engineering. Chose Gonzaga because of the great team, great coaches, and great academics.
