Andrew Vandine enters his fourth season with Gonzaga's Cross Country and Track & Field programs in 2026.
A Spokane native, Vandine was introduced to distance running by his father, Mark Vandine, a longtime high school cross country and track coach. He competed for nationally acclaimed North Central High School, where he was part of multiple state championship teams and contributed to the program’s third-place finish at Nike Cross Nationals in 2014.
Vandine went on to compete at Montana State University. Despite facing significant injuries throughout his career, he remained a key contributor for the Bobcats, competing at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships and recording a 13th-place finish in the mile at the Big Sky Indoor Championships.
Since joining Gonzaga in 2023, Vandine has assisted with the development of the Bulldogs' distance athletes and helped support the continued success of one of the NCAA’s premier cross country and track & field programs. Known for occasionally jumping into workouts alongside his athletes, his coaching philosophy emphasizes consistency, selflessness, and a team-first culture.
