Biography

Redshirt Sophomore (2024-25): Went 4-11 in singles matches and 6-9 in doubles matches this year… Played doubles on courts one and two pairing with Lia Espinal for this season…Earned a 7-6 doubles win against Portland’ Aleksandra Dimitrije and Nadine Arbaizar Mart in the last regular season match of the year…Named as a member of the WCC Women’s Tennis All-Academic Team concluding the year with a 3.95 GPA. 

Sophomore (2023-24): Playing only a partial season due to injury, maintained an impressive singles record of 7-4 and doubles record of 6-6… Led the Zags with a singles winning percentage of 63.6% this year… Had an undefeated singles conference record this season, going 7-3 in singles matches during the tournament season… Primarily paired with Lia Espinal and Ella Nielsen for doubles matches during the tournament season… Went undefeated in court two doubles matches this season

Freshman (2022-23): In her first season with the Zags, led the team in singles winning percentage, at 66.7 percent, and court three doubles victories, with seven wins… Also led the Zags in singles dual wins this season, with 14 victories, which is also tied for the sixth-most dual singles wins in a season… Ended the year with 10 court six singles victories, which is tied for the fourth-most court six wins in a season in program history… Concluded the year with a 13-9 overall doubles record, including an impressive 8-6 doubles record when paired with Kianna Oda

Personal:
Hayes is a multi-sport athlete as she runs track for her high school and has competed on the varsity level since seventh grade.

According to TennisRecruiting.net, Hayes is a 5-star recruit. She has been named an All-American by the National High School Tennis-All American Foundation and is one of 25 girls to receive the recognition. She plans on majoring in nursing while at GU.
 
"I choose Gonzaga because the university offers an outstanding undergraduate nursing program combined with high performance tennis," Hayes said. "Connecting with the coaches and the inviting atmosphere of the team made me feel at home. I am so happy to be a part of the Zag Family!"
 
At the Empire Cup Champion Doubles Tournament, she has won back-to-back years in 2019 and 2020. Hayes was the USTA Eastern Championships L4 G18 Champion in 2020.She also placed fifth at the UTSA L2 G18's in Chattanooga, Tenn.  Overall, Hayes is currently ranked in the top 60 nationally in her class, according to TennisRecruiting.net.
