Cooley was welcomed to the Gonzaga staff in July 2023.
In her third season on staff in 2025, Cooley helped guide Gonzaga to a fourth-place finish in the final West Coast Conference standings and a 6-3-2 mark in league play. The Bulldogs won six conference matches for the third consecutive season and closed the regular season strong, winning three of their final four matches and going unbeaten in five of their final six. Gonzaga finished 8-9-2 overall and produced four All-WCC selections, including the first WCC Freshman of the Year in program history.
The 2025 season featured another strong year of individual development for the Bulldogs. Freshman Samantha Snorsky became the first player in Gonzaga history to be named WCC Freshman of the Year. She also earned All-WCC Second Team and All-Freshman Team honors after ranking second in the conference with nine assists, including six in WCC play.
Sophomore midfielder Amelia Severn earned First Team All-WCC honors and was named First Team All-West Region by United Soccer Coaches. Severn finished third in the WCC with 10 goals and 25 points, with both totals ranking fifth in Gonzaga's single-season record book. Her eight goals and 20 points in conference play ranked second in the WCC. Severn became the eighth Zag in program history to earn All-West Region recognition and the first since 2023.
Junior forward Katelyn Rigg earned Second Team All-WCC honors after finishing fifth in the conference with eight goals and 19 points, while junior defender Makayla Werner earned honorable mention All-WCC recognition after starting all 19 matches. The Bulldogs also excelled academically, with Lauren Chin and Severn earning WCC All-Academic Team honors and Chin receiving the distinction for the second consecutive season. Chin, Rigg and Severn were also named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators.
In her second season on staff in 2024, Cooley helped guide Gonzaga to a third-place finish in the final West Coast Conference standings and the program’s seventh 10-win season in an eight-year span. The Bulldogs finished 10-6-3 overall, winning their final three matches and going unbeaten in six of their final seven contests. Gonzaga’s seven shutouts were tied for the second-most in the WCC, while the Bulldogs continued to establish themselves as one of the conference’s top defensive teams.
During her first year on staff, GU celebrated unprecedented success in the 2023 season. The program advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second time, and first since 2005, winning its first tournament game ever. The Bulldogs won the West Coast Conference title for the first time, beating Portland, Pepperdine and Santa Clara all in the same season. GU's six conference wins were the most in program history. The Zags' 14 overall victories were the second-most in program history. Gonzaga set new single season scoring (56), assist (44), and point total (156) program records. The Bulldogs had the No. 5 scoring offense in the nation.
Following the season, the Gonzaga women's soccer coaches were named the West Region Staff of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches College Services program.
Cooley appeared in 65 matches in a Zag uniform, starting in 29. She started in every game during her junior and senior seasons as a key member of a tremendous backline. She finished with 3,581 career minutes. Cooley was named Second Team All-West Coast Conference in the Spring of 2021. She received Academic All-Conference four times, boasting a 3.93 grade point average at graduation. She also earned her Master of Organizational Leadership degree from Gonzaga in 2021.
Cooley spent the 2022 season as the women's soccer assistant coach at Whitworth University in Spokane. The Pirates finished with a winning record her lone season as assistant.
