Gonzaga Men's Tennis Drops WCC Tournament Opener

MALIBU, Calif. - Gonzaga University's men's tennis team, the No. 7 seed, fell to second-seeded University of San Diego 4-1 Friday in the opening match of the West Coast Conference Men's Tennis Championship at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center on the Pepperdine University campus.
The lone Bulldog victory of the day came at No. 2 singles when Eduardo Kohlberg posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Ricardo Rizo.
As is standard practice in the WCC Championship, matches at No. 1 singles, No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles were suspended after the Toreros clinched the victory.
Gonzaga will face No. 6 seed Loyola Marymount University Saturday at 11 a.m. LMU dropped a 4-1 decision to No. 3 seed Santa Clara University.
