USF Defeats GU Women's Basketball 73-58

San Francisco, Calif. - The University of San Francisco Lady Dons (10-8, 2-3) collected their second West Coast Conference win Friday night defeating the Gonzaga University Bulldogs (10-9, 1-4) 73-58 at USF Memorial Gym.
Bernice Stime led the Bulldogs with a team-high 12 points and eight rebounds. Juliann Laney came off the bench to add 11 points and three rebounds to the Zags efforts. Jessica Malone was in a 3-point scoring slump missing all three attempts but recorded a game high 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.
Four USF players collected double digit points for the Lady Dons including a game-high 18 points by Carey Sauer. Lisa Whiteside added a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Gonzaga shot 32 percent from the field, 20 percent from 3-point territory and 70.8 percent from the free-throw line.
The Bulldogs continue WCC action Saturday night against the Saint Mary's College Gaels at 7 p.m. in Moraga, Calif.
