Bulldog Men's Golf Falls To 20th

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - Gonzaga University's men's golf team shot a final-round 309 Tuesday to drop to 20th in the Bill Cullum/Countrywide Intercollegiate tournament hosted by Cal State-Northridge.

The Bulldogs finished with a 54-hole total of 916 over the par 72, 6,707-yard Wood Ranch Golf Course. That was one shot behind Sacramento State University and Santa Clara University. Cal State-Stanislaus won the tourney with an 859 for an 8-stroke victory over the University of Utah.

Adam Syverson shot the best Gonzaga round of Tuesday with a 75 to finish at 222 and in a tie for 37th. Billy Moon of CSU-Stanislaus took medalist honors with a 209 after rounds of 71-69-68.
