Lewis-Clark State Edges Men's Tennis 4-3

LEWISTON, Idaho - The Lewis-Clark State Warriors edged the Gonzaga University men's tennis team Sunday afternoon in Lewiston, Idaho.
The Bulldogs collected three singles points as Freshman Bryce Cooper collected his first career win playing in the No. 2 spot as he downed Jan Solcani in three sets 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Sophomore Drew Ernst also earned a victory at No. 4 in three sents as he defeated Guilherme Martins 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. Freshman Robert Penney came up with the third singles point and his first career win at GU defeating Levi Brown 3-6, 7-8 (10-8) in the No. 6 position.
The Warriors secured the win as they swept all of the doubles matches to earn the doubles point and edge Gonzaga 4-3.
The Bulldogs host the University of Idaho Vandals Friday, Feb. 17 at the North Park Racket Club at Noon.
