SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The No. 8 seeded Gonzaga Universiy men's tennis team was defeated by the No. 1 Pepperdine Waves Friday in the opeing match of the West Coast Conference Tennis Tournament at the University of San Diego.
The Waves swept the Bulldogs 6-0 winning the doubles point and sweeping six singles matches. The No. 6 singles game between Nick Parinello and Brendan Cunningham was not finished.
Pepperdine continues tourney action Saturday as they meet the No. 4 University of San Francisco Dons at 1:30. Gonzaga will play the fifth seeded Santa Clara Broncos at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
