GU Concludes Play at Montana Fall Invitational

MISSOULA, Mont. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team concluded play at the Montana Fall Invitational in Missoula, Mont. Sunday.
He Bulldogs had two doubles teams in the semifinals and had one advance on to the finals round. The team of junior Bryce Cooper and freshman Marco Pineda were defeated by the University of Montana's Colin Mascall and Gus Treyz, 8-1.
GU's other tandem of junior Reid Arthur and senior Dru Ernst advanced to the finals by defeating Montana's Jim Strauch and Doug Shryock, 8-3 and lost in the finals to Montana's Mascall/Treyz, 8-6.
The Zags will be back in action on Oct. 22-24 in Berkeley, Calif. as they compete in the ITA Regional Championships.
