Ashley Burke Named WCC Player Of The Week

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University senior forward Ashley Burke was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week after leading the Bulldogs to a pair of road victories at the University of Montana and Boise State University. Burke averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game as Gonzaga improved to 6-2 on the season, the best start under current head coach Kelly Graves. Burke scored a season-high 20 points during Sunday's two-point win at Boise State.
Gonzaga opens a seven-game homestand this Saturday afternoon when the Bulldogs host the University of Idaho at McCarthey Athletic Center. Game time is 3 p.m. with the game being broadcast on KHQ-TV and on the radio on KGA 1510 AM.
