Men's Tennis Shuts Out Linfield College

SPOKANE, Wash. - Each member of the Gonzaga University men's tennis team won their match against Linfield College as the Bulldogs hosted their first match at Spokane Racquet Club on Saturday evening, defeating Linfield 5-0.

Sophomore Bryce Cooper led Gonzaga in the No. 1 spot with his defeat over Jack Fleming (6-0, 6-2). Each Bulldog would win their match in straight sets. In doubles play, Gonzaga also claimed victory as Robert Penney and Jesse Goldsmith teamed up for the win over John Yates and Ian McGrath, 8-4.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, Feb. 21 as they travel to Eastern Washington University for an 8 a.m. match.
