Gonzaga Sweeps Women's Tennis Weekend

CHENEY, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team won four of six singles matches to improve to a 6-2 record with a 5-2 victory over Weber State University on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Angela Fry led the Bulldogs in the No. 2 slot with her 6-2, 6-2 victory over Brianna Beauchene. Leigh Orne, Sirrah Williams and Katie Sanders all won their singles matchews for the Gonzaga effort.
Doubles play went in favor of the Bulldogs as the Gonzaga team of Buterbaugh/Fry defeated Chelsee Drews/Briann Beauchene, 8-5, and Orne/Sanders defeated Maria Bublik/Karla Pretorius, 8-6.
The Bulldogs will head out onto the court again in Bozeman, Mont., on Saturday, Feb. 28 as Gonzaga takes on Montana State.
