Men's Tennis Defeated By Nevada, 6-1

MISSOULA, Mont. - Freshman Brett Womack earned the only point for the Gonzaga University men's tennis team as the Bulldogs were defeated by University of Nevada for the second time this season. With the loss, Gonzaga drops to 4-14 on the season.
Nevada swept the Bulldogs in doubles play for the early lead. Adam Jooste and Daniel Ericsson teamed up for the Wolfpack to defeat Bryce Cooper and Dru Ernst (8-2), while Rudolf Leuschner and Brandon Sieh defeated Womack and Reid Arthur (8-5). Nevada's Max Volger and Kensuke Watabe finished the sweep with a victory over Robert Penney and Jesse Goldsmith (8-3).
Singles play also favored the Wolfpack as they won five-of-six singles matches. Womack claimed the only Bulldog victory over Milos Popovic (5-7, 6-2, 10-6) for the lone Gonzaga point. Nevada's Jooste defeated Cooper (7-6, 6-3), Leuschner defeated Ernst (6-4, 6-4), Ericsson defeated Penney (6-2, 7-6), Sieh defeated Goldsmith (6-0, 6-1) and Rafal Stupka defeated Jeff Hedrick (6-1, 6-1) in the remaining matches of singles play.
The Bulldogs take some time off and will next travel to Boise State University on Saturday, April 3.
