Zags Have Six Earn All-WCC Honors

SPOKANe, Wash. - The 18th-ranked Gonzaga University women's soccer team had a program-best six players earn All-West Coast Conference Honors with senior goalkeeper Ashley Haugen garnering a first-team selection, freshman Lori Conrad earning second-team honors and was named to the All-WCC Freshman team, sophomore Christine Soma and junior Beth Drollinger took home All-WCC second-team honors and senior Stacey Sarro and sophomore Lauren Zuckerman each earned an All-WCC honorable mention.
Haugen received her first All-WCC first-team selection of her four year career after capping off her record-setting season posting several Gonzaga single-season records including most shutouts with 11, fewest goals allowed with 14, two in WCC play, and goals against average of 0.70. Haugen completed her four-year career at Gonzaga as the career leader in shutouts with 23, career GAA of 1.36 and saves with 435.
Drollinger takes home her second All-WCC honor with her second-team selection after helping the Bulldogs defense bolster a single-season best team GAA of 1.40 and fewest goals allowed with 14. Drollinger also set a personal-best for single-season goals scored with three and assists with three for nine points.
Soma took home her first All-WCC honor with a second-team selection after posting career numbers in the 2005 season. Soma was the team-leader in assists with four and added three goals for 10 points after serving as the primary right forward for the Bulldogs.
Conrad not only earned a second-team All-WCC selection, but became the second Gonzaga women's soccer player to be named to the All-WCC Freshman team joining teammate Heather Horn who earned the selection in 2004. Conrad helped GU's defense post a single-season record for fewest goals allowed with 14 and GAA of 1.40.
Sarro completed her senior season earning her first All-WCC selection, a honorable mention honor, and Zuckerman earned her first All-WCC honorable mention. Sarro posted three assists for the Bulldogs in 2005. Zuckerman and Sarro both helped the Zags defense post a program-record 1.40 GAA and fewest goals allowed with 14.
