Men's Tennis Signs Rifkin to NLI

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University head men's tennis coach Peter MacDonald has announced the signing of Austin Rifkin to a National Letter of Intent.

Rifkin, a native of West Linn, Ore., will join the Bulldogs for the 2007 season after completing a successful high school career at West Linn High. During his tenure at West Linn he has won the state 4-A doubles title twice with his brother Rian. He is currently ranked No. 282nd in the nation for boy's 18 and under, and is ranked No. 8 in the Pacific Northwest.

"Austin has the fire power in his game to impose his will on you," said MacDonald. "There's not much you can do when he's playing well except shake your head."
