MORAGA, Calif. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team was defeated by Saint Mary's University 4-0 in the second round of the West Coast Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs are 0-2 in the tournament.
In singles play Reid Arthur and Brett Womack had the best performances for the Bulldogs. Arthur lost to Martin Marechal 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and Womack played fell to Adam Fauvre 7-6, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
The match was decided after singles play so there were no doubles matches played.
The Bulldogs will face the University of Portland at 9 a.m. Sunday for seventh place. The Pilots fell to Loyola Marymount University 4-2 on Saturday.
