CHENEY, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team wrapped up the Gonzaga/Eastern Washington University Tournament Sunday in Cheney with two Bulldogs falling in the quarterfinals and one in the semifinals.
Competing in the three-day event are Gonzaga, Eastern Washington, the University of Montana, the University of Idaho, Portland State University, Whitworth College, Lewis-Clark State College and Spokane Community College.
In the singles flight B consolation bracket, the Zags' Casey McCoy advanced to the semifinals with a default over Brian Elliott of Whitworth. McCoy then fell in the finals to Whitworth's Josh Steele.
In the singles B main draw, Logan Napolsky fell in the semifinals in three-sets (6-4, 3-6, 6-4) to Adam Blackner of Portland State.
In the singles A draw, Conor Feeney dropped a 4-6, 7-5, 10-3 decision to Montana's Mikolaj Borkowski of Montana.
The Bulldogs will hit the courts again Friday, October 12 at the ITA Regionals in Seattle.
