Feeney and Guillermo Pairing Post Win At ITA Regional

BERKLEY, Calif. - Gonzaga University had its top doubles tandem of Conor Feeney and Levin Guillermo post a win in the doubles consolation bracket at the 2009 Wilson ITA Northwest Men's Regional Sunday.
Feeney and Guillermo opened play in the doubles consolation bracket with a 9-5(5) win over Eastern Washington University's pairing of Fernando Mussolini and Stefan Simikic in the first round. Later in the afternoon, Feeney and Guillermo hung tough with a solid doubles team from the University of Portland but eventually dropped an 8-4 second round decision to have their run in the tournament come to an end.
The other Zags doubles team in action Sunday was the Jake Davis and Zach Peach pairing that suffered an 8-2 defeat to Eugene Muchynski and Tom Pham of Santa Clara University.
Gonzaga's final fall tournament will be the PNW Intercollegiate set for Nov. 6-8 in Seattle, Wash.
