SEATTLE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team produced another solid day at the PNW Intercollegiates hosted by the University of Washington Saturday. The Bulldogs had Roman Dojcak and Scott Sullivan each advance to the semifinals of their respective Singles Consolation brackets.
Sullivan got things going with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Jose Izquierdo from the University of Oregon before posting a 6-4, 6-1 quarterfinal round victory over Jackson Martin of Portland to advance to Sunday's semifinals in the Singles Flight B Consolation bracket.
Dojcak also had an impressive day beating Boise State's Cristian Hodel 3-6, 7-6(5), (11-9) in a very exciting back and forth match that allowed Dojcak to move on to Sunday's Singles Flight A Consolation bracket semifinals.
Conor Feeney had enjoyed a great start to the weekend, winning his first two matches Friday but dropped his quarterfinal match 6-3, 6-0 to the UW's Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan.
In doubles play, the Zags pairing of Jake Davis and Levin Guillermo lost their second round match 8-5 to Cristian Hodel and Jeff Mullen from Boise State.
Tournament play concludes Sunday.
