PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team posted a 5-2 win over Sacred Heart University in Palm Springs, Calif. Tuesday afternoon.
With their third consecutive victory the Bulldogs improve their overall record to 6-3. Gonzaga swept all three doubles matches and then won the first three singles matches to clinch the match.
Freshman Kristina Zauere won her number three singles match to improve her overall record to a team-best 8-1. Senior captain and number one singles player Aglaya Kokurina won her singles match in her return to the Zags' lineup after missing the last couple matches with an injury.
"We came out and played with great energy in the doubles matches and then carried the momentum over into singles," said head coach D.J. Gurule.
