Parkhurst Eliminated From Arizona Amateur Championship

MARICOPA, Ariz. - Gonzaga University incoming freshman golfer Kevin Parkhurst lost his match Thursday in the round of 32 of the 85th Arizona Amateur Championship.

Parkhurst, from Vail, fell to Kevin Walters 4 and 2 at Southern Dunes Golf Club which is playing to par 72 and 7,307 yards. Parkhurst won his opening match play outing Wednesday in the round of 64.

Walters fell 8 and 6 to Jin Song in the round of 16.
