HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Cienega High, earning four golf letters...capped high school career with a fourth straight Arizona State 4A Division I championship appearance, finishing sixth with a 36-hole total of 150 at Sundance Golf Course in Buckeye, five strokes off the lead...as junior finished 25th in helping Cienega to a seventh-place finish and he tied for 26th in the fall of 2006 as Cienega tied for fourth in the team chase...tied for 67th as a freshman...accumulated the most under-par rounds, lowest stroke average and most medalist honors in school history...senior season had 9-hole stroke average of 35.89 after posting a 38.46 as junior...won Dorado Boys High School Golf Invitational as senior at Rio Rico Country Club, shooting a 36-70 for a 106 for the 27-hole tournament.
Misc.: 3.52 high school GPA...one of the most decorated junior players in the state of Arizona with 43 career victories on various junior tours...summer of 2008 was the Southern Nevada Junior Champion, Southwest PGA Junior Tour Champion, Dorado Invitational Champion and the Class 4A Kino Region High School Champion... placed fourth in the 2009 Arizona Publinks Championship held at the par 70 Randolph Golf Course, shooting 75-69-68 for a 54-hole score of 2-over par 212...represented Arizona in the 2007 Eddie Hogan Cup held in Portland, Ore., and represented the United States during the 2007 and 2008 Aaron Baddeley Junior Invitational Championships held in Ghangzou, China...shot 6-under 65 at Los Colinas Golf Course during the 2009 Junior Golf Association of Arizona Stableford tournament in 2009 to capture medalist honors...summer of 2008 captured six events on the Southwest PGA Junior Golf schedule...won the Southern Arizona #1-Forty Nine Golf Club event with an even-par 72, the Southern Arizona #2-Torres Blancas Golf Club title with a 4-under par 68, the Southern Arizona #4-San Ignacio Golf Club tourney with a 1-under par 71, the Southern Arizona #6-Silverbell Golf Club event with a 4-under par 66, the Southern Nevada Junior Championship with an even-par 144 and the PING JPS Tour Championship with a 2-under par 142.
