McLEAN, Va. - Gonzaga University fell to 24th in this week's ESPN/USA Today men's basketball poll after splitting a pair of games at the O'Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic last week in Kansas City, Mo.
The Bulldogs (3-2) were 18th last week. Gonzaga returns to action Tuesday at home against nearby rival Eastern Washington University, the ZXags seeking their 23rd straight victory in the series they lead 51-7.
Duke, which won the O'Reilly Parts CBE Classic, is the unanimous No. 1 team in this week's coaches' poll, while Connecticut vaulted from being unranked into the top 10 after winning the Maui Invitational.
Duke received all 31 first-place votes from the panel of coaches.
Unbeaten Ohio State (5-0) climbed a spot to No. 2, followed by Pittsburgh (7-0), Kansas (6-0) and Kansas State (5-1), which fell a spot after losing to Duke last week.
