RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team got its spring break trip in southern California off to a good start with a 4-3 victory over UC Riverside Wednesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (5-6) swept all three doubles matches before taking three of the six singles matches to win for the third time in their last four matches. The Zags No. 1 doubles tandem of Roman Dojcak and Scott Sullivan held on for a 9-8 victory before the next two Gonzaga doubles pairings each posted 8-6 wins.
In singles play, Roman Dojcak and Levin Guillermo both cruised to victories at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively while the win by Jake Davis at No. 5 singles proved to be the match-clincher.
