Women's Tennis Drops WCC Championship Opener

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team suffered a 4-0 defeat to the University of San Diego in its opening match at the West Coast Conference Championships Friday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (13-6) lost a pair of well played doubles matches before the No. 3 seeded and No. 62 ranked Toreros posted wins in three singles matches.
Gonzaga will face No. 7 seed University of Portland 8 a.m. Saturday. Portland lost a 4-0 decision to Pepperdine earlier Friday. The Zags posted a 4-3 victory over the Pilots earlier this season in Portland Mar. 19.
