Women's Golf Ends Fall Season 8th At IU Invitational

CARMEL, Ind. - Gonzaga University freshmen Han Wu and Alice Kim each shot final-round 77's as the Bulldogs finished eighth in the IU Fall Invitational women's golf tournament Tuesday.
WU finished tied for 18th at 230 with rounds of 77-76-77, while Kim tied for 23rd at 233 with round of 79-77-77.
Tuesday's final round was played under cloudy, cold conditions at Crooked Stick Golf Club, a 6,030-yard, par 72 layout.
Victoria Fallgren finished at 237 to tie for 33rd, Tai Jade 'TJ' Kliebphipat shot 240 to tie for 41st and Jessica Howe at 247for 59th.
Kim and Howe were the only Bulldogs with a birdie on their scorecard Tuesday, Kim with four and Howe, who was Gonzaga's fourth scorer with an 80, with one.
Gonzaga, tied for seventh entering the final round, finished eighth at 936 after a final round 312.
Becca Huffer of the University of Notre Dame claimed medalist honors at 220 with rounds of 76-73-71 for a 3-stroke victory over Gretchen Huhnerkoch of Wichita State University. Eastern Michigan University overtook the Fighting Irish for team honors, shooting a final round 303 for a 54-hole score of 912 to edge ND by a stroke.
