Gonzaga and Catholic Charities Teaming Up This Holiday Season

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University athletic department is teaming up once again with Catholic Charities Spokane this holiday season. The Zags and Catholic Charities Spokane will be collecting specific clothing items at the men's basketball game Thursday, Dec. 15 and the women's basketball game Saturday, Dec. 17.
The Bulldogs are asking fans to donate men's socks, hats and gloves at the men's basketball game versus Oral Roberts Thursday. All items donated on Thursday will benefit House of Charity, Catholic Charities' homeless shelter for men in Spokane.
The Zags are then asking fans to donate baby diapers, any size, when they attend the women's basketball game versus UC Riverside Saturday. The diapers will benefit St. Margaret's Shelter, and CAPA -Childbirth and Parenting Assistance, two programs of Catholic Charities that assist families in need.
