Women's Basketball 21st In USA Today Coaches Poll

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's basketball team earned 48 extra votes Tuesday to move up to 21st in the USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Bulldogs garnered a total of 149 votes to jump from 22nd to 21st this week.
Gonzaga closed out non-conference play on a two-game winning streak, defeating UC Riverside 87-43 and Washington State University 70-62.
The Zags are also ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 poll this week, checking in at 24th.
West Coast Conference opponents University of San Diego and BYU also received votes. The Toreros earned 16 votes and the Cougars garnered 11.
The University of Connecticut tops the poll with 800 votes, while the University of Notre Dame is second with 736 votes.
