SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University tennis player Levin Guillermo was named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District 8 team as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the organization Friday. Guillermo, who graduated last weekend, wrapped up his collegiate career with a 3.96 GPA in civil engineering.

The Walnut, Calif., native can add the accolade to his extensive list of academic achievements. Guillermo is a three-time recipient of the Capital One District 8 honors, three-time West Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll Gold Award and a three-time WCC Tennis All-Academic team member. In addition, Guillermo has been on the university President's List every semester.

On the court Guillermo has been the model of consistency for the Zags. He concluded his season with a 16-13 singles record and was 4-4 in WCC matches.

The names of the District winners will be placed on the national ballot for consideration for the Capital One Academic All-America team.
