Smith Falls To Fellow Aussie In Canada Futures Main Draw

KELOWNA, British Columbia - Gonzaga University's Hayden Smith lost in his opening round match of the Main Draw 32 at the Kelowna Futures Tennis Tournament Wednesday.

Smith, a native of Breakfast Point, Australia, and junior-to-be fell 6-2, 6-3 to fellow Australian Ben Mitchell of Gold Coast. Mitchell is currently ranked 266 in the world and was ranked as high as 209 in 2012.

It's the second straight tournament on the Canada Futures series in which Smith has advanced to the Main Draw of 32.
