Gaske Tied for 16th at Saint Mary's Invitational

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- Ryan Gaske paced the Gonzaga men's golf team on the second day of the Saint Mary's Invitational Tuesday.
Gaske was three-over par (74) in Round 2 on the Poppy Hills Golf Course. He went two-over (73) Monday. His two-round total of 599 puts him at five-over in a tie for 16th. The senior had 11 pars and two birdies in the second round. He has 23 pars through 36 holes.
Tyler Munetake is tied for 21st place after a seven-over (78) round Tuesday. He entered Round 2 in a tie for third at even-par (71). The sophomore enters the final round at seven-over (149).
Angus Montgomery carded the second-lowest round on Day 2 for Gonzaga. He was five-over (76) with nine pars and two birdies. The senior is tied for 39th with a 151 (+9) two-round total.
Ben DuBois and David Ganz are tied for 61st (+13, 155) and 68th (+15, 157). DuBois was 10-over (81) in the second round, while Ganz ended with an 85 (+14).
As a team, the Bulldogs sit in a tie for 10th place. GU has a 599 (+31) total after two rounds. The Zags were 25-over (309) in Round 2.
San Diego State was the lone team under-par in the second round at four-under (280). The Aztecs are in first place with a four stroke lead over the hosts, Saint Mary's.
