Gaske Finishes in a Tie for 13th

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- Ryan Gaske ended the Saint Mary's Invitational in a tie for 13th Wednesday. The senior led Gonzaga to a 10th place team finish.
Gaske was three-over par (74) in the third and final round. He finished the tournament at eight-over (221). Gaske was five-over through his first nine holes Wednesday, but rallied going two-under on his last nine.
Angus Montgomery had the lowest round for GU on Day 3. He carded a 71 (E) to finish at nine-over (222) for the tournament in a tie for 18th. The senior made three birdies and 12 pars in the third round.
Tyler Munetake tied for 24th with a 223 (+10) total. He made 13 pars in the last round en route to a 74 (+3). The sophomore's 35 pars were the fourth-most in the 84-golfer field, while his 3.07 (+1) average on Par-3 holes was the fifth lowest in the tournament.
Ben DuBois and David Ganz both had rounds of 82 (+11) on the third day. DuBois finished the tournament in a tie for 72nd at 24-over (237), while Ganz was 26-over (239) in a tie for 77th.
San Diego State captured the team title. The No. 25 Aztecs were 10-under (274) in the final round. SDSU finished at one-over (853), 12 strokes ahead of second place Saint Mary's.
Eduardo Carrete of SMC took medalist honors at three-under (210). He held off San Diego State's PJ Samiere by a stroke, after carding a 73 (+2) Wednesday.
