"Overall, we thought it was a good start to the week," GU Assistant Coach Scott Kim said. "The team played with a great attitude and competed hard on every shot which has been a focus for us this season.
"We had three good scores, but weren't able to get a fourth score, which has been the theme this season. The conditions were perfect for scoring today, but the forecast says it will be a bit windier and have higher chances of rain for the next two days. So, it will be important to come out with a good positive mindset and be ready for the challenge."
The second round begins Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
