GU enters with 4-1 record on the season

- Gonzaga has the nation's No. 1-ranked women's player in singles in Sophie Whittle, according to the Feb. 6 rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). New rankings will be announced on Feb. 19.
- Whittle is 7-1 against ranked players this season, including an ITA National Championship with a tournament win at the ITA All-American in the fall. She is a perfect 4-0 in the dual-match season and 18-4 overall on the season.
- Domonique Garley is ranked No. 111 in the ITA Singles Rankings as well. Garley collected two straight-set victories in singles during GU's wins over Eastern Washington and Wyoming.
- After a two-week break between matches due to cancellations in the Santa Barbara area for three scheduled GU matches, the Zags knocked the rust off in a 7-0 win over Eastern Washington and a 4-0 win over Wyoming, both at home inside the Stevens Center.
- Along with Whittle and Garley, Vlada Medvedcova also swept both of her singles matches against EWU and Wyoming.
- Whittle and partner Graciela Rosas, along with the duo of Ketels and Tsuruta each took wins in doubles to earn the point in both matches last week as well.
- Head coach D.J. Gurule is in his 15th season at the helm of the Gonzaga women's tennis program.
