
Men’s Golf Wraps Up in Bandon

Zags finish a tie for 16th; Magruder ties for 43rd
BANDON, Ore. – The Gonzaga men's golf team tied for 16th at the Bandon Dunes Championships at 63-over (927). The Zags were 32-over (320) in the third and final round on the Bandon Dunes Course at the Bandon Dunes Resort Tuesday.
Nick Nolan led GU tying for 40th place at 10-over (226). He was six-over (78) in Round 3.
Charlie Magruder tied for 43rd. He finished 11-over (227) in the tournament, after going over eight-over (80) in the final round. He made three more birdies and eight pars Tuesday. Magruder finished the tournament with 12 birdies.
Utah took the team title. The Utes were 12-over (876) in the tournament, and had low team total of 299 in the final round. Denver was second at 18-over (882).
Utah's Blake Tomlinson took medalist honors at four-under (212). San Jose State's Kevin Velo placed second at three-under (213), carding a 70 (-2) in the third round.
Gonzaga travels to Seattle for the two-day SeattleU Redhawk Invitational on April 1. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
