THE TIP OFF
- Gonzaga opens its home schedule against Northwestern State on Monday, at 6 p.m., in the McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane.
- This is the first-ever meeting between the programs.
- The Bulldogs are 3-0 all-time versus current members of the Southland Conference, with the latest matchup being a 76-57 win over Southeastern Louisiana in Spokane on Dec. 2, 2014.
- GU has won 31 consecutive regular season home-openers since a 73-65 loss to Boise State on Dec. 7, 1988.
- GU has won all 16 regular season home-openers in the McCarthey Athletic Center and all 21 regular season home-openers under Mark Few.

GREGG ENROLLS EARLY, JOINS GU ROSTER
- Ben Gregg has graduated high school early and will join the program for the 2020-21 season.
- Gregg officially signed with the Zags in November on National Signing Day. He will be available to play as a freshman once he passes all university health protocols.
- The Clackamas, Ore., native, will wear No. 33 for GU.
- Gregg was No. 29 in ESPN's top 100. Following his junior season at Clackamas High School, he was named the Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year, after averaging 21.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
ZAGS ARE GETTING OFFENSIVE
- Gonzaga boasts one of the top offenses in the country. The Bulldogs have the second most efficient offense in the nation according to KenPom.com (118.6).
- GU is shooting 62.2 percent from inside-the-arc, which ranks fifth in the country.
- The Zags are fourth in the nation shooting 54.3 percent from the field, and fourth averaging 94.5 points per game.
- Gonzaga ranks eighth in the nation shooting 35.3 percent of its shots in transition.
GONZAGA ADDS MATCHUP VS VIRGINIA
- No. 1/1 Gonzaga and No. 17/16 Virginia will square off in Fort Worth, Texas, on Dec. 26.
- CBS will broadcast the game at 1 p.m. Pacific Time. The game will be played in Dickies Arena. Chicago-based Intersport will lead the event operations.
- This is the fourth all-time meeting between Gonzaga and Virginia. The Zags have won two of the three previous matchups.
- GU won the first-ever meeting, 86-85, in the first round of the 2001 NCAA Tournament in Memphis, Tenn. The programs met in Spokane in 2005, an 80-69 Bulldog win. The following season, the Cavaliers won the rematch in Charlottesville, 108-87.
