THE TOURNAMENT:
- The two-day, 54-hole event will feature two rounds on Monday and one round Tuesday, both with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. PT.
- The 11-team field includes tournament co-hosts San Francisco and San Jose State, as well as California, Colorado State, Gonzaga, Kansas State, Minnesota, Northern Arizona, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Rutgers, Washington, and Washington State.
- The Juli Inkster Invite is the second of four spring tournaments in preparation for the West Coast Conference Championship during the final weekend in April.
LAST TIME OUT
- Gonzaga competed in the Rebel Beach Intercollegiate Invitational and finished seventh as a team with three players in the top 30.
- GU was led by Federcia Torre, who finished in a tie for 11th with at 2-over for the tournament.
- Quynn Duong moved up to 14th on the final day with an even-par 72 and a total score of three-over for the tournament.
- Freshman Cassie Kim was nine-over for the tournament, shooting a 2-over 74 in the final round.
BIG SPRING AHEAD
- Quynn Duong's WCC Freshman of the Year campaign in 2018-19 helped earn her a spot on this year's Preseason All-WCC Team.
- GU was picked to finish fourth in the preseason poll, voted by the league's head coaches.
- Duong led the Zags in the fall with a 72.50 scoring average and seven of 12 rounds at par or better.
- All five Zags averaged better than 74.50 scoring averages, helping them win two of the four tournaments entered as a team.
FALL FLIGHT TO FLORIDA
- Gonzaga women's golf had three finishers inside the top 25 and placed fifth overall at the Pat Bradley Invitational in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
- Playing the par-72 Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club, Gonzaga fired the third-best final-round score of the tournament with a one-over 289 to move from eighth to fifth as a team.
- Two GU players went under par in the final round with both Jessica Mangrobang and Federica Torre posting 71s (-1) on the day.
- Individually, sophomore Quynn Duong capped off a 13th-place finish with a final-round 74 (+2) to finish at even-par for the tournament. Torre placed 21st overall with a +3 total, while Mangrobang was tied for 24th at +4.
BACK-TO-BACK
- Gonzaga took home its second team tournament title in a row after winning the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational in the fall.
- Sophomore Quynn Duong won the individual title (first of her career) by four shots at -7, and the team finished at -4 overall to win by 13 strokes.
- Senior Jessica Mangrobang finished in a tie for fifth at +1 and freshman Cassie Kim had her first-career top-10 at +3 overall.
- That win came just two weeks after Gonzaga defended its home turf, winning the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational at the the Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course with a 54-hole team score of +16.
- Mangrobang and freshman Alyssa Nguyen led the way, finishing in a tie for third overall at +3 for the tournament.
- Sophomore Federica Torre posted a final-round 72 (+1) and finished with her first-career top-10 in a tie for eighth at +5 for the tournament.
RECORD BREAKERS
- In its win at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invite, Gonzaga set numerous school records.
- Duong's -7 (209) and the team's -4 (860) were both 54-hole program records.
- Earlier in the tournament, GU set team 18-hole and 36-hole scoring records in both total score and score-to-par with a 10-under 278 in the second round which led to a -8 (568).
LEADING THE WAY
- In each of its fall wins, Gonzaga was dominant, leading each field in scoring on Par-3s, Par-4s and Par-5s
- At the CDA Invite, Gonzaga led the field in Par-3 scoring at +4 and Par-5 scoring at -4. Individually, Mangrobang went -2 on the Par 3s and Torre went -7 on the Par 5s.
- At the PLH Invite, the Zags were again in the lead on all three par types, going +7 on the Par-3s, +13 on the Par-4s and -9 on the Par-5s.
