"After GU, I am planning on working in the medical field for a year to gain hours for graduate school. GU has meant a place where students come to grow as individuals, create everlasting bonds, and learn how to make the world a better place."

Lauren’s contributions of reliability and consistency through a time of transition can’t be understated. You could always count on Lauren to show up and be a solid performer at times when it was most needed, being a member of several Conference and Regional teams, many of her best performances were on those days. Lauren approached the sport with a thoughtfulness and steadiness. A teammate well liked, she helped all move the program forward.

"I will be serving in the Peace Corps after GU in Guinea. GU has been my home for the past four years. It is an amazing place to live because you are surrounded my positive people who encourage you to do your best no matter what you’re doing. GU is a family and you can never go anywhere without recognizing at least one person you know, which makes this place awesome!"

Megan is the perfect illustration of what it means to be a student-athlete. Balancing three seasons of competition and a 4.0 GPA is an amazing feat. She never wavered from that. Her positive attitude was something I know her teammates appreciated about her. Her well roundedness is exactly what it means to be a Gonzaga Student-Athlete. Her selflessness will shine through in the years ahead and she begins the next phase of her life in the Peace Corps.

"Next year, I will either be continuing at GU for a sixth year, or applying to neuroscience graduate programs and working in the medical field. Post-collegiately, I hope to continue my passion of running as well.

Attending Gonzaga has been such an impactful experience. I’ve loved every second of it, thanks to the awesome community here and memories shared. GU has made me a better athlete, a better student, and a better person."

Amanda’s love for all things Gonzaga is obvious to all of those who know her. She’s as hard a worker as you’ll find in our program, always the first to want to do more, help out more, find ways in which she can be as reliable as needed. Her positive attitude is contiguous to all that know her. Amanda will be a great alumnus not only to this program but to this university. Amanda is someone who you’ll rarely see without a smile on her face.

"After GU, I’m going to spend some time traveling and then pursue a marketing position in Portland, Ore.

Gonzaga has meant home to me. I don’t think there’s another university that encompasses a graver sense of community. GU has given me a second family, memories to last a lifetime, and experiences I never thought possible. Thank you, GU."

Ariel came to the program a year or two into her college career. Even with being away from the sport for a couple years initially, she worked hard to improve and be a consummate teammate. Her improvement from the fall of 2018 to now speaks to her work ethic and attitude. We would have seen that improvement continue this spring, no doubt in anyone’s mind. Ariel will undoubtedly be successful in whatever she does.

"After GU I will be studying for my RN licensing exam and pursing nursing opportunities at hospitals in the Spokane area.

Gonzaga has not only given me the opportunity to compete at the DI level, but also allowed me to pursue an education in nursing, something I have dreamed about since I was young. Because of GU I have gained an incredible and supportive community, a continued desire to serve others, and most importantly skills and friendships I will carry with me for the rest of my life."

Claire’s time at Gonzaga was not easy athletically. But, Claire’s attitude never wavered from absolute positivity and optimism not only for herself but for her teammates and the program she wanted to be a part of. Claire being a Nursing major is no surprise. She wants the best for people, always willing to help and support. As she moves onto the next phase of her life, Claire will undoubtedly succeed because of the core ideals and values she holds important to herself.
